Centre Notifies Appointments Of Judges For Various High Courts

The Central Government on Thursday has notified the appointment of Judges for different High Courts across the country.

The appointments are as follows -

i) Delhi High Court

In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President has appointed the following two Judicial Officers as Judges of Delhi High Court –

  • Smt. Poonam A. Bamba; and
  • Ms. Swarana Kanta Sharma

ii) Patna High Court

In exercise of the power conferred by clause (l) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, President has appointed the following two Advocates as Judges of Patna High Court –

  • Shri Rajiv Roy; and
  • Shri Harish Kumar

iii) Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court

In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India, the President has appointed the following two Advocates as Additional Judges –

  • Shri Rahul Bharti; and
  • Ms. Moksha Khajuria Kazmi

Their appointment is for a period of two years.

iv) Madras High Court

In exercise of the power conferred by clause (l) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India, the President has appointed the following two Judicial Officers as Additional Judges –

  • Ms. Nidumolu Mala, and
  • Shri S. Sounthar

Their appointment is for a period of two years.

v) Allahabad High Court

In exercise of the power conferred by clause (I) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India, the President has appointed the following Judicial Officer as Additional Judge –

  • Shri Umesh Chandra Sharma

His appointment subsists till 31.12.2023
