CJI Announces Launch Of Updated Supreme Court's Mobile Application 2.0 Containing eSupreme Court Reports
Today, CJI DY Chandrachud in open court announced the launch of the updated Supreme Court of India Mobile Application 2.0 with added facility of eSCR (eSupreme Court Reports).
"The Supreme Court's mobile app 2.0 is now ready for Android users. It is available on Google store. For the IoS, it will be available in a week. Please start using it", the CJI said.
The updated mobile application may be downloaded by Android users from PlayStore. For IoS/Apple users, the mobile application will be available within a week.
The updated Mobile Application provides a personalized dashboard containing Cause Lists, Case Status, Daily Orders, Judgments, Latest Updates, Office Reports, Circulars, and eSCR (e-Supreme Court Reports).
"The additional feature now is all law officers can have their own access and real time analysis of what cases they are appearing in. All government departments can check their cases. Please use it", said the CJI.
The updated version provides a login facility for Attorney General, Solicitor General (SG), Additional SG, and Law Officers to view cases filed by the Central Government. Earlier, such a login facility was available to Advocates-on-Record, Registry Officials, and Journalists.
Moreover, the application allows Nodal Officers of the Central Government to view cases filed, status, orders, judgments, and other documents filed in the Supreme Court.
The official application of the Supreme Court was made live on the PlayStore in 2019 on the occasion of Constitution Day (26th Nov). The mobile application provides useful information on pending and decided cases.
