The Apex Court had on 3rd August directed for conducting elections for AIFF Executive Committee. After this order, the Committee of Administrators moved the Court in a contempt petition alleging that Praful Patel had undermined the hosting of the U-17 Women's World Cup.

On the last date of hearing the Solicitor General had sought an adjournment stating that a meeting is to be held with the FIFA on 11th August.
