Salary: Governed by the provisions of the Tribunal (Conditions of Service) Rules, 2021.
Educational Qualification: LL.B.
Eligibility: As per Rule 3(12)(b) of the Tribunal (Conditions of service) Rules, 2021, a person shall not be qualified for appointment as -
(a) Member, unless he, -
i. is or has been, a Judge of a High Court; or
ii. has, for a combined period of ten years, been a District Judge and Additional District Judge; or
iii. is a person of ability, integrity and standing, and having special knowledge of, and professional experience of not less than twenty-five years in economics, business, commerce, law, finance, accountancy, management, industry, public affairs, administration or any other matter which is useful to the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.
Age Limit: As per proviso under section 3(1) of the Tribunals Reforms Act, 2021, "a person who has not completed the age of 50 years as on the last date for submission of applications, shall not be eligible for appointment as a Chairperson or Member".
