Senior Advocate Maninder Singh today mentioned before the Supreme Court bench comprising of Chief Justice of India N. V. Ramana, Justice Surya Kant and Justice Hima Kohli the matter regarding the breach of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Security detail that happened yesterday in Punjab, and the Court agreed to hear it tomorrow.

"It has to be ensured that this is not repeated", said Senior Advocate Maninder Singh while asking the Court to consider his writ petition asking for a judicial probe into the matter of breach of security, in an urgent manner.

The Senior Advocate asked the Court to order for an effective and professional investigation into the "Bandobast" for the arrival of the Prime Minister and also asked for the Court to direct the District Judge of Bhatinda to take into his custody all the records, under the monitoring of the Apex Court, so that such an incident is not repeated again.

The Prime Minister was visiting National Martyr's Memorial in Hussainiwala from Bhatinda by road yesterday when the Prime Minister's Convoy was blocked by some protestors for approximately 20 minutes on a flyover.

This incident has been termed by the Ministry of Home Affairs as a major lapse in the security detail of the Prime Minister. Home Minister Amit Shah had tweeted yesterday that the Ministry of Home Affairs has sought a detailed report on the security breach and that the dereliction of security procedure in the Prime Minister's visit is totally unacceptable.

The Supreme Court agreed to hear the matter tomorrow and asked the Senior Advocate to give a copy to the State Government of Punjab.
