The Supreme Court denied entertaining a plea that sought directions to make public the answer sheets of the candidates who appeared for the District Judiciary Examination in Madhya Pradesh.

The three-Judge Bench comprising Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, Justice V. Ramasubramanian, and Justice J.B. Pardiwala held, “We are not inclined to entertain the Special Leave Petition under Article 136 of the Constitution. The Special Leave Petition is accordingly dismissed.”

The SLP was filed by the Advocate Union for Democracy and Social Justice.

Advocate Aman Varma represented the petitioner in this case.

The petition was seeking directions for uploading the answer sheets and adopting a transparent process in terms of recruitment of the judicial officers.

It was stated in the plea that the selection process for the appointment of the civil judges as well as the additional district judges must be transparent and fair in nature.

However, the Apex Court observed that such a move is extremely dangerous and can be misused.

It was also said by the CJI that the coaching classes fellows will get hold of the answer sheets.

Accordingly, the Court dismissed the plea.
