The Solicitor General informed that some developments have taken place and requested that the matter be heard tomorrow on an urgent basis. He did not expressly inform the court about the suspension of the All India Football Federation by FIFA, however, the Solicitor General informed the court that he would submit a letter to the court which had been sent by FIFA.

In a press release by FIFA, it was stated that "the Bureau of FIFA Council has unanimously decided to suspend the All India Football Federation with immediate effect due to undue influence from the third party, which constitutes a serious violation of the FIFA statutes."

It was also stated that the suspension would be lifted once the order to set up a Committee of Administrators to assume the powers of the AIFF Executive Committee has been repealed and AIFF regains control of the daily affairs.

Earlier, the Supreme Court had appointed the three-member Committee of Administrators comprising Retd. Supreme Court Judge Anil R. Dave, Former Chief Election Commissioner S. Y. Qureshi, and Former Captain of Indian Football Team Bhaskar Ganguly with regards to the matter.

The Apex Court had on 3rd August directed for conducting elections for AIFF Executive Committee. After this order, the Committee of Administrators moved the Court in a contempt petition alleging that Praful Patel had undermined the hosting of the U-17 Women's World Cup.

On the last date of hearing the Solicitor General had sought an adjournment stating that a meeting is to be held with the FIFA on 11th August.
