Eligibility: A person who is or has been a District Judge or Additional District Judge or has held judicial office higher in rank than that of a District Judge will be eligible for appointment. A person having experience of mediation & conciliation will be given preference.

Tenure: The appointment shall be for a period of 5 years or 65 years of age, whichever is earlier.

Age Limit: Below 65 years
