Empanelment Of Advocates In TCIL

Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL) has invited applications to empanel reputed Law firms/Advocates.

Essential Qualifications: The Law Firms/Advocate fulfilling the following eligibility criteria shall only apply:-

1. Law Firms:

a) Degree of Law of all the partners from recognized University.

b) The practicing Advocates who are registered with Bar Council of India/Delhi Bar Council are eligible for empanelment. The senior most partners should have a practice in Delhi Courts for more than 10 years.

c) The Law firm must either have a Chamber in the Delhi Court Premises or an office in Delhi/New Delhi with all infrastructure as conference/meeting room, computers/laptops, printers, scanners, Internet connection etc. along with office supporting staff.

d) The Law Firm must submit minimum 20 Supreme Court/High Court and Arbitration orders showing the presence of the Senior most partner as the Main Counsel for last five years in different cases.

e) The Partners of the Law Firm must have appeared as an arguing counsel in minimum 10 cases of stake value more than Rs. 1 crore (in civil cases). 5 cases (out of the said 10 cases) should be in favour of the Law Firm's client in proof of the success rate.

f) The Law Firm can apply for two specific categories showing minimum 20 court orders separately for each category as per (d) above.

g) The Law Firm must agree for the fee to be paid as per the TCIL fee schedule for Senior Counsel and Junior Counsel, whosoever appears and shall not claim any higher fee in any case during the pendency of the cases.

(For the purpose of payment of fees as per Fee Schedule, the Panel Advocate/Senior Advocate of the Firm of Advocate having more than 10 years of experience/practice in the Courts after the date of enrolment as Advocate shall be treated as a Senior Counsel while all other Advocates would be treated as Junior Counsels)

h) The firm must have at least one AOR in the law firm for filing cases in the Supreme Court of India.

2. Individual Senior Counsel

a) Degree of Law from recognized University.

b) The practicing Advocates who are registered with Bar Council of India/Delhi Bar Council are eligible for empanelment.

c) The counsel should have a practice in Delhi Courts for more than 10 years.

d) The senior counsel must either have a Chamber in the Court Premises in Delhi or an office with all infrastructure as conference/meeting room, computers/laptops, printers, scanners, Internet connection etc. along with office supporting staff in Delhi.

e) The counsel must submit minimum 20 Supreme Court/High Court and Arbitration orders showing the presence of the counsel as the Main Counsel for last five years.

f) The Senior Counsel must have appeared as an arguing counsel in minimum 10 cases of stake value more than Rs. 1 crore (in civil cases). 5 cases (out of the said 10 cases) should be in favour of the Senior Counsel' client in proof of the success rate.

g) The Advocate has to apply for only one specific category showing the court orders in that particular category only.

h) The counsel must agree for the fee to be paid as per the TCIL fee schedule for the Senior Counsel and shall not claim any higher fee in any case during the pendency of the cases.

3. Individual Junior Counsel

a) Degree of Law 3/5five year degree course i.e. LLB from recognized University. Advocates having the degree of LLM from recognized Institution/University will be an additional advantage.

b) The practicing Advocates who are registered with Bar Council of India/Delhi Bar Council are eligible for empanelment.

c) The counsel should have a practice in Delhi Courts for more than 5 years.

d) The junior Counsel/ advocate must have a Chamber in the Court Premises in Delhi or an office with all infrastructure as conference/meeting room, computers/laptops, printers, scanners, Internet connection etc. in Delhi

e) The counsel must submit minimum 10 High Court/District Courts/Arbitration/Tribunals orders showing the presence of the counsel for last five years.

f) The counsel must agree for the fee to be paid as per the TCIL fee schedule for the Junior Counsel and shall not claim any higher fee in any case during the pendency of the cases.

The envelope must clearly specify whether the Application is being made as a Law Firm, Individual Senior Counsel or Individual Junior Counsel.
