Law Student Forced To Chant Allah-Hu-Akbar For Alleged Blasphemy: FIR Registered, 12 Students Suspended
The Cyberabad Police has registered an FIR in relation to the incident where a law student, Himank Bansal, of ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE) in Hyderabad was brutally assaulted by other students while being made to chant 'Allah Hu Akbar' for an alleged blasphemous remark by him against the Prophet Muhammad. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
A case was registered by Shankarpally Police Station against the culprits under Sections 307, 342, 450, 323, 506 read with Section 149 of the Indian Penal Code.
As per a statement released by the college, all the students involved in the said incident have been suspended.
"The Institution has acted with alacrity and has taken a decision to suspend all the concerned students with immediate effect. The Institution has Zero Tolerance towards such undesirable acts," the college said in an official statement.
He was slapped, kicked and assaulted by a group of students. In the viral video, one of the students can be heard saying that they want to fix his ideology, they will beat him into coma and he will remember a whole new world.
As per his complaint, Himank Bansal had remarked about the Prophet's marriage with Aisha to a girl student, who allegedly forwarded the message to Muslim students, which lead to the attack.

The Cyberabad Police has arrested 8 people in connection with the incident and has initiated legal action against 9 members of the college management for negligence.
