The Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud said in Court today that an online portal to streamline appearance memos is being developed by the registry of the Supreme Court and the same is likely to be launched after the ensuing Winter Vacations.

While hearing a mentioning wherein the Counsel sought changes in the appearance recorded in the Court's Order, the CJI said, "Secretary General is working on this. There will be an Online Portal, where appearances put in by lawyers will appear exactly as it is, in the Court's Order."

Until now, the appearances were recorded by the Court Master manually. With the introduction of the new system, "there shall be no entry by the Court Master", said CJI Chandrachud.

Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, who is the Chairperson of the e-Committee of the Supreme Court, has introduced many technological innovations in the Supreme Court.

Some of the major achievements include the launch of the updated Supreme Court of India Mobile Application 2.0 and the online RTI Portal of the Supreme Court within a month of Justice Chnadrachud taking charge as the 50th Chief Justice of India.
