The Lakshadweep Development Corporation Limited (LDCL) is inviting applications for the post of Law Officer on a contractual basis.
Location: The posting is initially in Kochi. However, the management, at its discretion, may depute or transfer the Officer at any of its offices/projects anywhere in India as per requirement.

Remuneration: Rs. 50,000/- per month
Educational Qualification: LL.B.
Desirable Qualification: LL.M. with special knowledge in Maritime Law/Commercial Law/Corporate Law/Administrative Law/Taxation Law.
Experience: Candidates should have at least 5 years of court practice experience. Experience in relevant field as per job profile in a reputed PSU/public limited company will be an added advantage.
Job Profile: Monitoring of court cases and filing reply in Supreme Court/ High Court/ CAT and lower courts, updating of court case status, submission of quarterly reports to Management of LDCL, overall supervision of all court cases in LDCL, coordination with the Standing Counsel for LDCL, monitoring and timely submission of reports before the court; Admiralty matters, legal opinion, preparation of para wise comments, Examination/vetting of correspondence with Ministries, Departments under Administration, preparing and vetting of contracts/MoUs/ Tender documents/ agreements, handling arbitration matters, preparing and vetting the charge sheets, coordination and assistance in disciplinary proceedings, other works related to court cases and other departmental matters assigned to him/her time to time by the Competent Authority.
