Centre Notifies Appointment Of Acting CJ Of Kerala High Court
The Ministry of Law and Justice has notified the appointment of Justice Sarasa Venkatanarayana Bhatti as the Acting Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court.
“In exercise of the power conferred by Article 223 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Justice Sarasa Venkatanarayana Bhatti, senior-most puisne Judge of Kerala High Court, to perform the duties of the office of the Chief Justice of that High Court with effect from 24.04.2023 consequent upon the retirement of Shri Justice S. Mani Kumar, Chief Justice, Kerala High Court.”, the notification released on the Law Ministry’s website read.
Justice SV Bhatti started practice in the Andhra Pradesh High Court and was sworn-in as Additional Judge of the Andhra Pradesh High Court in 2013. Justice Bhatti was appointed as Judge of the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for the States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Upon bifurcation and establishment of High Court of Judicature of Andhra Pradesh at Amaravathi, Justice Bhatti was sworn-in as a judge of Andhra Pradesh High Court and later on transferred and appointed as Judge of the Kerala High Court.
