The Delhi Police has initiated action against Bhim Sena Chief Nawab Satpal Tanwar, for instigating and provoking the public against Nupur Sharma.
Nupur Sharma, now suspended BJP spokesperson, has been receiving rape and death threats from various quarters inside and outside India after her controversial remarks about Prophet Muhammad.
Nawab Tanwar had issued a bounty of "Rs 1 crore for whoever brings tongue of Nupur Sharma" through a video message. He had also threatened to make Nupur Sharma "do mujra in public".
A Complaint against Nawab Tanwar was filed by Advocate Aekansh Yadav before the Commissioner of Police, Gurgoan Range pointing out that Nawab has committed offences under Sections 107, 504, 499, 354 and 509 of the IPC.
The Complaint says that the Nawab has instigated and provoked the public against Nupur Sharma and has endangered her life.
