SC Collegium Recommends Elevation Of 5 Judges As Chief Justices Of Different HCs And 1 Transfer

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the elevation of four Judges as Chief Justices of the following High Courts –

i) Justice Vipin Sanghi, acting Chief Justice of Delhi High Court appointed as Chief Justice of Uttarakhand High Court;

ii) Justice Amjad A. Sayed Judge of Bombay High Court appointed as Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court;

iii) Justice S.S. Shinde Judge of Bombay High Court appointed as Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court;

iv) Justice Rashim M. Chhaya Judge of Gujarat High Court appointed as Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court; and

v) Justice Ujjal Bhuyan [PHC: Gauhati] – Judge of Telangana High Court appointed as Chief Justice of Telangana High Court.

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the transfer of the following Chief Justice –

i) Justice Satish Chandra Sharma Chief Justice of Telangana High Court to Delhi High Court.
